A Trustee of the Sophia Forum, Susie Daniel has a long work history as an innovative health and community development expert, specifically focusing on sexual health, including people affected by HIV and young people. She has gained wide experience of developing and managing health and community services, and has more than ten years experience of working as an Independent Consultant offering technical advice, training, programme/project support and project assessment. Key to the majority of Susie’s work is the inclusion of the expertise and voice of community and organisation stakeholders and participants.

• Work with a wide range of public sector and non-governmental bodies, both nationally and internationally – Chief Executive (Brook London), Technical Aid Worker (Dominican Republic), Joint Strategy and Planning • Expertise includes: development of user involvement, strategic development, public health, HIV/AIDS, sexual and reproductive health, gender, children & young people, programme feasibility and evaluation and project / organisational development • Training on equalities, homophobia, sexual health and young people’s health needs to youth, health and social workers, police and communities • Founder of the renowned, innovative young people's health centre in Nottingham, Base 51 (awarded high commendation by the Guardian Jerwood awards) • Author of various publications, including a pioneering book with skinheads (published by Penguin), contributions to books by HERU / Peter Aggleton on sexual health issues.
